Orangeman.

OM felt a tingle in his nose as the green expanse flooded his senses.
His ancient consciousness had been programmed  in to his kitten mind thousands of years ago by the visitors.
They had prophesied many lives ago that OM would become one with the machine mind of the singularity one day.
He had found it hard to believe at first, as he watched mankind struggle to attach the first curved lenses to their blind eyes.
He had now seen civilizations rise and turn to ash and an ocean of blood had been poured over the earth in all the wars waged for possession of knowledge and power.
OM could see up ahead his Queen and provider of all treats: Z. She was batting the large black bugs away from her face and using those dagger words that humans often use out of desperation and fear. He focused on the largest tormentor close to her face, a large black flying blood bag and two red beams of light shot from his eyes like hoses filled with lava, vapourising the pest without leaving even a shadow. Z was impressed by this and went to stroke OM's purring head as she told him that he was a "good lad" He rubbed himself against her leg.
Up.ahead.was a boat with what looked like a "noble one" or "monkey" as human's had named them, sat in the wheelhouse.
Before they made contact with the boatman OM saw a large rat like mammal scurry across the mud of the path and he dived after it like an orange bullet. He stalked the rodent on his belly before leaping and rolling with the creature, sinking his fangs into its throat and pulling apart it's pipes.
"I needed a work out!" He thought discreetly to himself.
He was soon back on the trodden down mud by the river dangling the large rat from his mouth as it swang from side to side. His feline senses were all coming alive now and he wasn't sure what he should attend to first. A parrot rose up from the rivers edge terrified as he just managed to clip one of its wings with his eye lazers, causing it to crash land with a wing on fire into the brown murk of the river below. Z tutted at him and wagged her finger, as he dropped the prize at her feet. She looked down at the mangled brown body of the rat and smiled "thanks" she said as OM jumped onto the boats prow and started communicating telepathically with the noble one who seemed to be in charge of this vessel. The little monkey giggled and asked Z in perfect English for five bananas. "Sorry mate, I don't have five bananas?" So OM jumped from the side of the boat and ducked into the green twisting trees. He appeared a few moments later with a bunch of bananas hanging from his mouth.
"What a clever boy you are!" She said to OM, as she took the yellow fingers from his mouth and handed the bright fruits to the giggling monkey.
OM jumped once again on to the boat and as he looked overboard he could see that the river was full of writhing life. He wanted a fish but decided that he would wait as they started their journey up river.
